Jared Smith is a technology executive, co-founder, and President of Qualtrics, a pioneering experience management software company based in Provo, Utah. Before returning to the family startup, he spent six years at Google as a Director of Product Management, where he oversaw online operations for AdSense and led a team of over 180 engineers. The Brigham Young University graduate's earlier career included product management roles at WordPerfect, Novell, and Juice Software, which was later acquired by Microsoft. Working alongside his brother Ryan Smith and father Scott M. Smith, he scaled Qualtrics into a global enterprise that SAP acquired for $8 billion in 2019. Following a 2021 initial public offering, Silver Lake and CPP Investments took the SaaS platform private for $12.5 billion in 2023, cementing his legacy in enterprise software development and engineering leadership.
