Jan Schnyder

Jan Schnyder is a Managing Partner at the venture capital firm Lakestar, based in Zurich, Switzerland. Before assuming his current position, he co-founded and led the prominent European startup accelerator Seedcamp after studying business at the University of St. Gallen. Over the past decade, he has invested in more than 50 early-stage technology companies, contributing to a portfolio that includes recognized unicorns such as Klarna and Trade Republic. In March 2024, he successfully helped Lakestar raise over $500 million for its latest fund, which targets emerging opportunities across the broader European technology ecosystem. He recently expanded his investment activity into the climate technology sector and discussed regional venture capital trends at the November Slush 2025 conference.
