James Wilsterman

James Wilsterman is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Volley, based in San Francisco, California. Before launching the voice AI gaming company in 2016 alongside his college classmate Max Child, he co-founded the daily tournament platform Streak Trivia and worked as a Senior Analyst at First Manhattan Consulting Group. Under his technical leadership, the Y Combinator alumni enterprise has expanded to over 75 employees and reaches millions of monthly active users across Amazon Alexa and Roku devices. In July 2024, Wilsterman helped secure a $55 million Series C funding round co-led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Microsoft's M12 fund, bringing the firm's total capital raised to over $70 million. The Harvard University graduate currently focuses on integrating large language models and artificial intelligence into interactive entertainment for smart speakers, mobile platforms, and connected televisions.
