James Evans

James Evans is the Co-founder and CEO of Command AI, an artificial intelligence software startup based in San Francisco, California. He holds a degree from Princeton University and began his professional career working in private equity investments at Bain Capital. In 2020, Evans launched Command AI, originally known as CommandBar, and subsequently guided the enterprise software company through the Y Combinator accelerator program. Under his leadership, the user assistance platform secured more than $24 million in venture capital funding, including a Series A round led by Insight Partners. Following a corporate rebranding in April 2024, he facilitated the successful exit of Command AI through an acquisition by the publicly traded analytics firm Amplitude in October 2024. His career focuses on developing B2B SaaS products and integrating artificial intelligence into user experience platforms.
