Jake Phelan

Jake Phelan is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Spotlight Realty, a real estate technology company based in New York City. Backed by early-stage accelerator Y Combinator, the startup operates as an artificial intelligence-driven brokerage focused specifically on the residential rental market. In his capacity as CTO, Phelan oversees the development of proprietary software systems designed to automate lead generation, tenant screening, and physical property showings. He established the proptech firm alongside Chief Executive Officer Raymond Allie to create technological alternatives to traditional listing platforms such as StreetEasy and Zillow. To support these operations, Phelan manages the technical infrastructure required to process high volumes of real estate data. His current focus remains on expanding the company's engineering capabilities and deploying machine learning tools to optimize the urban leasing process for property managers.
