Jaclyn Chen is the Co-founder and CEO of Benepass, an employee benefits technology platform based in New York City, New York. She established the HR tech and fintech startup in 2019 to provide flexible spending accounts and stipends through consolidated corporate cards for midsize employers. Under her leadership, the company participated in Y Combinator's Winter 2020 batch and has secured over $30 million in total venture funding, including a $20 million Series B round in July 2023 backed by firms like Portage Ventures and Threshold Ventures. Prior to launching the venture, she worked as an investment banking and private equity investor focused on the financial services sector and earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her current focus centers on scaling Benepass to replace traditional human resources models with consolidated, technology-based employee compensation systems.
