Jacek Prus

Jacek Prus is currently the Senior Director of Development at Farmed Animal Funders, an alternative protein funding collective based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He previously served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Current Foods, a plant-based seafood startup that successfully raised $18 million in a seed funding round in June 2022. Backed by Y Combinator, the company developed a plant-based tuna recognized by TIME Magazine before being acquired by Wicked Kitchen in 2023. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Prus established the ProVeg Incubator to accelerate early-stage food technology companies and worked as a UX/UI designer for web and mobile applications. His professional background remains heavily focused on advancing the alternative protein sector through strategic investments, startup incubation, and the ongoing development of cultivated meat technologies to replace traditional animal agriculture.
