Ivan Chub

Ivan Chub is the San Francisco-based founder of Idler, a Y Combinator-backed artificial intelligence technology startup participating in the Summer 2025 batch. Founded in 2025 alongside Nalu Concepcion and Tony Goss, the 14-employee company develops reinforcement learning environments designed to train AI models for expert-level human coding tasks. Prior to his current venture, he co-founded several notable blockchain and technology initiatives, including the decentralized gaming platform Dark Forest, the applied research organization 0xPARC, and the zero-knowledge identity system Zupass. Chub previously studied computer science at the University of Washington and held multiple software engineering positions at Dynasty.com, as well as early internship roles at Facebook and AppSheet. His professional background centers on advancing complex software engineering applications, transitioning from pioneering zero-knowledge cryptography in Web3 to building production-ready training infrastructure for autonomous artificial intelligence systems.
