Ilya Usorov

Ilya Usorov is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of BoldVoice, an artificial intelligence-powered speech coaching platform based in New York City. Under his technical leadership, the Y Combinator-backed startup surpassed $10 million in annual recurring revenue with a seven-person team and recently secured a $21 million Series A funding round led by Matrix Partners in early 2026. Before launching BoldVoice during the Y Combinator Summer 2021 batch, he served as the Director of Product Engineering at Section4 and previously co-founded a recruiting technology startup in 2015. Usorov began his professional career working as a management consultant in 2013 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University. His current professional focus centers on leveraging artificial intelligence and mobile application development to build scalable educational technology solutions for non-native English speakers.
