Ijeoma Akwiwu

Ijeoma Akwiwu is the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Pivo Africa, a financial technology startup based in Lagos, Nigeria. Alongside co-founder Nkiru Amadi-Emina, she established the company to provide credit and financial services to small and medium-sized enterprises operating within the African supply chain and logistics sectors. Under her operational leadership, the startup participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2022 batch and subsequently secured a $2 million seed funding round backed by investors including Precursor Ventures and VestedWorld. Despite initial growth and capital acquisition, multiple industry publications reported that the enterprise ceased its operations in late 2023. Admitted to the Nigerian Bar, Akwiwu possesses a hybrid professional background combining corporate law and software development, maintaining a focus on building technology solutions that address legal, operational, and financial compliance in emerging markets.
