Herman Båverud Olsson

Herman Båverud Olsson is the CEO and Co-founder of Solva, an artificial intelligence platform automating insurance claims, based in Stockholm County, Sweden. Before establishing the startup with fifteen employees in 2025, he was part of the core team that built Lassie, an insurtech company that reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue and secured $110 million in venture capital funding. During his tenure, Lassie scaled rapidly over a period of thirty months and was recognized by Sifted in 2024 as the fastest-growing insurtech startup in Europe. Previously, Olsson led artificial intelligence and machine learning transformations for financial services clients at BCG X and gained early financial sector experience working at Morgan Stanley.
