Heinin Zhang

Heinin Zhang is the Co-founder and Co-CEO of yhangry, a food-tech startup based in London, United Kingdom. Raised between Germany and China, she earned a degree in Philosophy and Economics from the London School of Economics before beginning her professional career on the trading floor at Goldman Sachs. In 2019, Zhang transitioned from finance to the consumer marketplace sector, launching yhangry alongside former Barclays trader Siddhi Mittal to provide accessible private chef bookings for home dining and events. The Y Combinator-backed platform gained significant national visibility after the co-founders pitched the business on the BBC television program Dragons' Den in 2021. Outside of her executive responsibilities, she is a competitive equestrian participating in horse eventing. Her current focus centers on scaling yhangry within the hospitality industry by connecting culinary professionals with busy consumers.
