Hassan Bourgi

Hassan Bourgi is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Djamo, a financial technology company based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Under his leadership, the neobank has scaled to serve over one million users across Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal while securing a regional microfinance license from the Central Bank of West African States. Bourgi recently guided Djamo through a $17 million equity funding round led by the investment firm Partech to accelerate its regional expansion. Before establishing his current venture in West Africa, he served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Latin American travel technology platform Busportal in Peru, which he sold to the Naspers-backed company RedBus in 2019. His entrepreneurial background primarily centers on developing consumer-facing technology products and expanding financial inclusion across emerging markets in both Latin America and Francophone Africa.
