Harvey Hu

Harvey Hu is the Co-founder of Altrina, an artificial intelligence automation platform based in Menlo Park, California. Established in 2025 and operating with a four-person team, the startup is a participant in Y Combinator's Winter 2025 batch. At Altrina, he leads the development of Tessa, a universal business process agent engineered to automate multi-step standard operating procedures for law offices, hedge funds, and local governments. Previously, Hu served as a Machine Learning Engineer at both Google and TikTok, where he built and deployed probabilistic models and recommendation algorithms that scaled to billions of users. His earlier technical background includes engineering roles focused on self-driving vehicle systems at NVIDIA and artificial intelligence applications at General Agency. An alumnus of UC Berkeley, Hu currently focuses on applying large-scale machine learning to optimize complex organizational workflows and back-office automation.
