Hadar Weiss is a Product and Engineering Leader at Microsoft based in Tel Aviv, Israel. He previously served as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Peer5, an enterprise content delivery network he launched in 2012 alongside co-founders Guy Paskar and Shachar Zohar. Backed by the Y Combinator accelerator program and $4.3 million in venture funding, the startup developed WebRTC-based mesh networking technology that served over one billion total users and powered live corporate events with up to two million concurrent viewers. In August 2021, Microsoft acquired Peer5 to integrate its peer-to-peer video streaming infrastructure directly into the Microsoft Teams platform, prompting Weiss and his entire team to join Microsoft's Israel research and development division to oversee the integration. Weiss currently focuses on optimizing large-scale enterprise live video broadcasting and advancing decentralized web video delivery systems.
