Gustavo Gorenstein

Gustavo Gorenstein is an executive at PicPay and the co-founder of bxblue, currently based in Brasília, Brazil. He previously served as the leader of bxblue, a digital marketplace for payroll-secured loans that participated in the Y Combinator S17 batch and scaled to serve hundreds of thousands of clients. Under his leadership, the platform successfully processed millions in loan originations before being acquired by the Brazilian financial technology giant PicPay in February 2023. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, which also included early involvement with Poup.com.br, he earned a master's degree in technology entrepreneurship from University College London in 2010 and completed executive education at London Business School in 2011. Following the 2023 acquisition, his current professional focus centers on expanding consumer credit ecosystems and developing digital financial services for underserved populations across Latin American markets.
