Gunwoo Kim

Gunwoo Kim is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Cuckoo Labs, an artificial intelligence software company based in Seoul, South Korea. Founded in 2024 alongside Yong Hee Lee, the enterprise translation startup recently secured $1.8 million in seed funding from venture investors and was accepted into the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch. Before establishing Cuckoo Labs, Kim developed a South Korean ride-hailing application that acquired one million users within a span of nine months, outpacing the regional growth of Uber Korea. His earlier technical career includes product development and engineering roles at the video game holding company Krafton and the machine learning platform VESSL AI, following his computer science studies at KAIST. As a technical founder, Kim currently focuses on building scalable machine learning operations and real-time AI interpretation systems for global sales and marketing teams.
