Ghita Houir Alami

Ghita Houir Alami is the cofounder and CEO of ZeroEntropy, an artificial intelligence search technology startup based in San Francisco, US. Under her leadership, the Y Combinator-backed company raised a $4.2 million seed round led by Initialized Capital in July 2025. Since launching in January 2025, the platform has processed nearly 100 million documents and 1 million queries, recently releasing a proprietary reranker model that outperforms competitors by up to 28 percent. Prior to founding ZeroEntropy, she served as the chief technology officer and lead developer for five different early-stage startups, creating statistical arbitrage algorithms and auditing blockchain networks. She holds two master's degrees in applied mathematics from École Polytechnique and UC Berkeley, having previously studied at Carnegie Mellon University. Her current focus centers on developing high-accuracy retrieval systems, AI agents, and developer tools for complex unstructured data.
