Gesa Biermann

Gesa Biermann is the Co-founder of Pina Earth, a climate tech startup based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. She established the company in 2021 alongside co-founders Jonas and Florian to develop nature-based carbon removal solutions, subsequently leading the firm through the Y Combinator accelerator program during the Winter 2022 batch. Prior to this venture, Biermann spent four years co-leading the Center for Digital Technology and Management, where she managed corporate partnerships with global organizations including Siemens AI and Adidas. Her earlier career includes C-level consulting engagements at Kearney and Audi, complementing an academic background that features a PhD in environmental studies from LMU Munich and a Master of Science degree from TU Munich. Biermann currently focuses on scaling regenerative forestry initiatives for carbon credits while bridging the gap between environmental science and corporate sustainability strategies.
