Gaurav Maken

Gaurav Maken is a Community Partner at Pioneer Fund, an early-stage venture fund and global pre-seed accelerator composed primarily of Y Combinator alumni. Joining the investment firm in 2024, he helps manage a growing portfolio that supports over 100 startups annually, focusing heavily on companies emerging directly from the Y Combinator ecosystem. Prior to his current venture capital role, Maken worked in product management and operations across various technology startups, leveraging his engineering background to evaluate technical founders and complex products. He actively collaborates with prominent ecosystem figures and institutions, including connections to Naval Ravikant, Gradient Ventures, and the Sequoia Scout network, to source and support early-stage investments. Maken currently focuses his efforts on founder community building and strategic capital deployment for pre-seed and seed-stage technology startups specializing in enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and frontier tech.
