Gabriel Bayomi Kalejaiye is the Co-Founder and CEO of Openlayer, an artificial intelligence governance startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 2021 and backed by Y Combinator, the company employs between 10 and 50 people and has raised $19.5 million to develop machine learning testing and observability platforms for enterprise clients. Previously, he worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple from 2019 to 2021, where he developed multimodal models for Siri and contributed to early systems for the Apple Vision Pro. He holds a master's degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he served as a Machine Learning Researcher from 2017 to 2018 working on the Amazon Alexa Prize. Kalejaiye currently focuses on building scalable enterprise infrastructure for generative AI evaluation, safety monitoring, and model debugging.
