Frederick Widjaja

Frederick Widjaja is the Co-Founder of Whiz, a Y Combinator-backed financial technology platform, and is currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He brings 12 years of software engineering experience to his executive role developing Indonesia’s first dedicated fintech application designed specifically for teenagers. Prior to co-founding and launching Whiz as part of the YC W22 cohort, Widjaja worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook, where he contributed to zero-to-one projects including the Blood Donations and Messenger Rooms features. His earlier technical background includes an additional software engineering position at Google before entering the startup sector, following his graduation with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Statistics from Harvard College. Widjaja currently focuses on leveraging his consumer technology expertise to build scalable financial literacy products that drive measurable social impact for youth demographics across the Southeast Asian region.
