Frances Anastassacos

Frances Anastassacos is the Co-Founder of Nabla Bio, an AI-guided protein and antibody design company currently based in the Greater Boston Area of Massachusetts. She helped launch the Harvard University spin-out to develop an AI-first protein design platform, guiding the firm as it secured a $26 million Series A funding round in May 2024. Prior to founding this synthetic biology startup, she worked as a biotechnology venture capital investor at Khosla Ventures, where she evaluated and supported various emerging life sciences technologies and companies. Anastassacos earned a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard University in 2019, dedicating over eight years of academic research to applying chemistry principles to complex biological problems. Her current professional focus centers on leveraging generative artificial intelligence and synthetic biology to accelerate early-stage drug development and advanced therapeutic discovery pipelines.
