Filip Kaliszan

Filip Kaliszan is the Co-founder and CEO of Verkada, an enterprise physical security company based in San Mateo, California. He holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from Stanford University, where he previously co-founded the educational technology platform CourseRank in 2007. Following CourseRank's successful acquisition by Chegg in 2010, he served as a Director of Product before launching his current venture. Under his leadership, Verkada has grown to over 2,000 employees and secured backing from prominent investors including Sequoia Capital, reaching a $3.2 billion valuation following a $205 million Series D funding round. The firm recently expanded its European data center footprint and acquired the Hillstone Networks video surveillance business in early 2024. Today, Kaliszan remains focused on scaling cloud-based video surveillance, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things infrastructure for global enterprise clients.
