Ferhat Babacan is the Co-founder and CEO of Bluedot, a climate tech and mobility startup based in San Francisco, California. He began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 14 by breeding worms at home, a project that earned him early technology awards from Google and Microsoft. Before launching his current venture, Babacan worked in corporate roles at Zipcar and Bosch, and he later enrolled in a graduate master's degree program at Munich Technical University. He ultimately dropped out of the university to establish Bluedot alongside his high school friend Selinay, guiding the company through the Y Combinator Winter 2021 batch and securing a $5 million seed funding round in 2023. A former national volleyball player in Turkey and university climate activist, Babacan now focuses on scaling sustainable mobility solutions within the global early-stage technology sector.
