Erik Quintanilla

Erik Quintanilla is the Co-founder and CTO of Refresh, a Y Combinator-backed startup based in San Francisco, California. Prior to launching Refresh as part of the YC X25 cohort, he served as Lead Machine Learning Engineer at LynkAI, where he developed large-scale voice data systems and models for enterprise applications. His earlier enterprise experience includes working as a large-scale data engineer at Capital One and focusing on data scraping infrastructure at Amazon, where he submitted a 2021 patent for automatic scraper generation. As a computer vision researcher, Quintanilla co-authored papers accepted at the ACM-MM 2020 and ECCV 2020 conferences, and he achieved two gold medals in Numerai financial modeling competitions. His current focus centers on building reinforcement learning environments for coding, advancing synthetic data generation, and scaling artificial intelligence applications across the broader technology ecosystem.
