Erica Du

Erica Du is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Toko, an AI-powered language tutoring platform established in 2021. Before launching the Y Combinator W22-backed startup, she served as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at Palantir Technologies and held software engineering roles at Google and Codecademy. Du also worked as a Blue Ridge Labs Fellow at Robin Hood, where she co-founded a consumer fintech startup, and served as a Visiting Researcher focused on algorithmic accountability at Cornell Tech. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Utilizing her expertise in Python, JavaScript, React, and Node.js, alongside her fluency in English, Mandarin, and Spanish, her current focus centers on leveraging artificial intelligence to scale educational technology solutions for language learners.
