Eric Levine

Eric Levine is a Visiting Partner at Y Combinator based in San Francisco, California. He previously co-founded Berbix, a B2B identity verification software startup that participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2018 batch and raised venture capital from Initialized Capital and Mayfield. Under his leadership, Berbix developed instant physical document verification technology before being acquired by industry unicorn Socure for approximately $70 million in cash and stock in June 2023. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Levine worked as an early software engineer at Airbnb, where he managed the core trust and safety engineering team, and held a prior software engineering role at Google. Holding a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Michigan, his professional background centers on building scalable fraud prevention systems and advising early-stage technology startups across the software sector.
