Eric Chen is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cakework, an HR technology and talent marketplace platform based in San Francisco, California. Under his leadership, the company recently secured a $2 million seed funding round in March 2025 and subsequently expanded its operations into the European market. Prior to establishing Cakework, Chen held various engineering and product management positions at early-stage SaaS startups and engaged with prominent industry networks including Y Combinator, AngelList, and LinkedIn. He recently directed the launch of the platform's artificial intelligence matching engine in the first quarter of 2025 to serve a growing customer base of several hundred startup clients. Drawing on his background in computer science, he bridges the gap between technical development and human resources. Chen currently focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to optimize talent acquisition and workforce management infrastructure.
