Emily Nieves

Emily Nieves is the co-founder and CEO of Delineate, a biotechnology startup applying artificial intelligence to drug development. Before launching her current venture, she was a PhD candidate in Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she also conducted research within the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Her corporate experience includes applied research roles at global pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and AstraZeneca. During her tenure at these organizations, she focused on utilizing computational biology and machine learning algorithms to optimize modeling and simulation processes for pharmaceutical research and development. She recently presented Delineate's technological framework during a lightning talk at the 2024 MIT Research and Development Conference Startup Exchange. Nieves currently focuses on integrating advanced computational methods with biological engineering to support the discovery and optimization of new therapeutics for the pharmaceutical industry.
