Elizabeth Ruzzo is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of adyn, a precision medicine and women's health startup based in Seattle, Washington. Prior to launching her company in 2019, she earned a doctorate in human genomics from Duke University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neurobehavioral genetics at UCLA. As an accomplished human genetics researcher and data scientist, she has authored more than twenty peer-reviewed publications and proudly received the Charles Epstein Trainee Award for Excellence in Human Genetics Research. In April 2021, she successfully secured a two and a half million dollar seed funding round for adyn, an investment co-led by prominent venture capital firms Lux Capital and M13. Her current professional focus centers on leveraging big data and genomic testing to eliminate the medical gender research gap and personalize birth control selection.
