Elizabeth Adams

Elizabeth Adams is the co-founder of Ello, an educational technology startup developing an artificial intelligence-powered reading coach for young children. Holding a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, she previously spent more than 15 years specializing in child development, behavioral health, and academic achievement across various community schools, specialized clinics, and regional hospital settings. Adams helped guide Ello through the Y Combinator accelerator program in 2020, focusing on integrating clinical and developmental psychology frameworks into the core software product. Under her leadership, the platform, which pairs proprietary voice recognition technology with real physical books, secured a $15 million Series A funding round in September 2023 backed by institutional investors including Goodwater Capital.
