Eli Mernit

Eli Mernit is the Co-Founder of Beam, an AI-native cloud platform, and is currently based in New York City, New York. Founded in 2021 alongside his college roommate Luke Lombardi, the five-person startup participated in the Y Combinator W22 batch and has raised $7 million in funding from investors including Tiger Global. Beam currently powers millions of daily requests for hundreds of global enterprise clients, with notable individual backers such as Snyk founder Guy Podjarny and former GitHub CTO Jason Warner. Prior to establishing the technology company, Mernit was a competitive cyclist and developed his technical expertise in distributed systems and robotics by building serverless frameworks at various industry hackathons. His current professional focus centers on developing serverless runtime infrastructure for GPU-backed containers and machine learning models to help software developers scale artificial intelligence applications efficiently.
