Elham Islam is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Synnax, a unified hardware control and sensor data processing software startup based in San Francisco, California. He established the three-employee enterprise alongside his co-founders in early 2024, subsequently leading the business through the Y Combinator Summer 2024 accelerator batch. Prior to launching his current venture, Islam wrote mission-critical flight software for the Mars Sample Return Lander at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He also engineered and developed embedded control systems specifically designed for advanced laser communication applications during his tenure at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Islam completed his formal academic training by studying computer engineering at the University of Michigan. His professional focus remains centered on bridging complex hardware and software architectures to build robust data acquisition and analytics systems for demanding aerospace and industrial sectors.
