Derek Ye

Derek Ye is currently the founder of Palace, an artificial intelligence-powered music creation platform and digital creative toolset. Prior to launching this new venture, he served as a founding engineer at Kits.ai, an artificial intelligence voice technology startup backed by the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. Before transitioning into the early-stage startup ecosystem, Ye worked as a tech lead at Amazon Music, where he directed core software engineering initiatives and managed technical operations for the streaming service. Throughout his professional career, he has developed specialized technical expertise in audio synthesis, scalable software architecture, and the integration of machine learning models into consumer-facing creative software applications. Ye's current focus centers on leveraging his engineering leadership experience from both major technology corporations and venture-backed startups to build foundational artificial intelligence infrastructure and tools for the modern music industry.
