Derek Weng

Derek Weng is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LemonBox, operating between offices in Beijing, China, and San Francisco, California. Founded in 2018, the direct-to-consumer health company provides personalized daily vitamin packs to hundreds of thousands of Chinese consumers through a dedicated WeChat-based e-commerce platform. An alumnus of the Y Combinator Summer 2018 accelerator batch, Weng secured a $2.5 million pre-Series A funding round led by Panda Capital and GSR Ventures to expand cross-border supply chain infrastructure. Before launching his current venture, he worked in digital marketing and cross-border e-commerce at Walmart Global eCommerce and earned a joint MPP and MBA degree from the University of Chicago. His current focus centers on bridging United States and Japanese health product manufacturing with the Chinese millennial market through data-driven nutritional recommendations and customized consumer packaging.
