Derek Low

Derek Low is the CEO and Co-Founder of Cococart, an e-commerce startup based in San Francisco. Backed by Y Combinator, the platform provides no-code storefronts for local merchants and supports a network of over 40,000 businesses after raising $4.2 million in seed funding. Previously, he served as the Founder and CEO of Basecamp Bali from 2019 to 2021, operating a boutique hotel that achieved a 100% occupancy rate and perfect guest ratings on Airbnb. Low graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, where he gained recognition for creating an automated dorm room that garnered over two million YouTube views and coverage from Forbes. In 2024, he launched Haus, a new retail hospitality concept located in Singapore. His career focuses on building scalable e-commerce infrastructure and developing consumer-facing hospitality ventures.
