Derek Feehrer

Derek Feehrer is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kite, an early-stage technology startup backed by Y Combinator, and is currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to launching Kite, he accumulated nine years of professional experience as a frontend-focused software engineer specializing in JavaScript, React, and Node.js frameworks. Throughout his career, he independently built and launched multiple software-as-a-service products, including the digital platforms Appointment Scanner and DashDisplay. He also previously served as the Founder of MockRocket, further establishing his technical expertise in developing consumer-facing applications and managing complete product lifecycles. In the summer of 2023, his current venture, Kite, was selected to participate in the highly selective Y Combinator accelerator program. Feehrer currently focuses on scaling Kite's executive strategy while leveraging his extensive background in frontend software engineering to drive ongoing product development.
