Derek Chiang

Derek Chiang is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ZeroDev, a Web3 infrastructure provider focused on account abstraction and smart crypto wallets. Before establishing ZeroDev in early 2023, he served as the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of a digital collectibles platform for streamer monetization, and he successfully built and subsequently sold the Tenfold Protocol. His earlier software engineering career includes technical leadership positions, working as a senior software engineer at DFINITY and directing decentralized application development for a blockchain technology firm. Additionally, Chiang contributed to major distributed systems projects, including Consul at HashiCorp and open-source cloud computing platforms, following his undergraduate computer science studies at Cornell University. He currently focuses on developing advanced developer tooling and scalable self-custody wallet infrastructure utilizing the ERC-4337 standard to eliminate user experience friction across decentralized applications.
