David Weinberg

David Weinberg is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of ParcelBio, a biotechnology company based in San Francisco, California. He established the startup in 2023 to develop next-generation mRNA medicine delivery technologies, guiding the five-person team through the Y Combinator Winter 2024 batch and raising approximately $500,000 in initial seed funding. Prior to this venture, Weinberg served as Vice President of the RNA Platform at Orbital Therapeutics, where he directed the development of circular RNA therapeutics. He also worked as Senior Director of Molecular Research at Freenome, building a multiomics diagnostics platform utilized for early cancer detection blood tests. A former UCSF Faculty Fellow and recipient of the NIH DP5 Award, he holds a doctorate degree from MIT. His career remains focused on advancing innovative molecular platforms across RNA therapeutics and early cancer diagnostics.
