David Tondreau

David Tondreau is the co-founder and CEO of Maive, a Y Combinator-backed artificial intelligence startup focused on automating compliance and operational processes for the manufacturing and home services sectors. He began his early career as a manufacturing engineer at Rolls-Royce, where he notably identified a critical paperwork discrepancy that temporarily halted production to resolve severe quality control issues. Following his corporate tenure, Tondreau spent five years at the unicorn robotics company Dexterity AI, advancing from a software engineer to the senior manager of product engineering. He holds a master's degree in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and has been awarded 15 individual patents spanning the fields of robotics and aerospace engineering. Tondreau currently focuses on leveraging his extensive background in industrial robotics and aerospace to build AI-driven automation tools for factory floors and independent contractors.
