David Mlcoch

David Mlcoch is the Co-founder and CEO of Asteroid, an artificial intelligence automation startup based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2024 and backed by Y Combinator as part of its W25 cohort, the five-employee company develops browser AI agents that automate back-office tasks like form filling and data entry across legacy web portals. Prior to establishing Asteroid, he served as the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Trident AI, where he focused on developing autonomous agent technologies. His earlier career includes engineering and research roles within the space and robotics sectors, featuring technical positions at SpaceKnow alongside academic training in artificial intelligence at the University of Edinburgh. Mlcoch currently focuses on bridging his academic robotics background with commercial software development to deploy enterprise-grade, reliable AI agents capable of scaling to millions of operations for regulated industries.
