David Merriman

David Merriman is the Co-Founder and Head of Growth at Magic, a virtual assistant and remote workforce platform based in San Francisco, California. He helped launch the company in 2015 as part of Y Combinator's Winter batch, subsequently securing over $30 million in venture funding from investors including Sequoia Capital. Under his leadership, Magic has scaled to manage a global network of more than 350 assistants providing 24/7 B2B services and AI-integrated workforce solutions. Prior to his current executive role, Merriman co-founded Runnable Technologies in 2014 and launched Maiden Space, an aerospace technology venture that was successfully acquired by Redwire in 2020. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing from Oberlin College. His career focuses on developing AI-augmented labor platforms and scaling early-stage technology ventures across the software and aerospace sectors.
