David Marquez

David Marquez is the Co-founder of Symph and a seasoned technology entrepreneur based in Metro Manila, Philippines. Previously, he served as Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Shipmates, an e-commerce shipping aggregator that successfully raised a $2.2 million seed round backed by Y Combinator and other investors. Alongside co-founder Josh Supan, Marquez participated in the Y Combinator W22 accelerator program before the logistics platform eventually closed amid shifting market conditions. His earlier entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding the startups Xpanse between 2017 and 2021, and Shirt.ly, building on a foundation of ten years of full-stack coding experience and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from De La Salle University. Today, Marquez focuses on developing Agentic AI and autonomous business workflows, leveraging his extensive background in building and scaling Southeast Asian logistics technology platforms.
