David Hutchful

David Hutchful is a technology entrepreneur and researcher based in Accra, Ghana, who previously served as the Co-founder of the financial technology startup Bloom Impact. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, he worked as the Director of Technology at the Grameen Foundation and as a Researcher at Microsoft Research. He holds a Master's degree from the University of Michigan, where he developed deep domain expertise in human-computer interaction and information and communication technologies for development. At Bloom Impact, he focused on digitizing financial services for micro, small, and medium enterprises operating across emerging markets. Hutchful has also contributed to the academic sector as an educator at Ashesi University, bridging the gap between private sector research and practical software engineering. His career centers on designing context-informed technological solutions that address specific socio-economic and cultural challenges.
