David Gu

David Gu is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Recall.ai, an artificial intelligence infrastructure company based in San Francisco, California. Prior to establishing the startup, he studied computer science at the University of Waterloo and began his professional career working as a software engineer. Gu launched Recall.ai through the Y Combinator Winter 2022 cohort to build a universal API that extracts data from major video conferencing platforms, including Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Under his executive leadership, the enterprise has scaled to serve more than 1,000 artificial intelligence developers and recently secured a $38 million Series B funding round following a $10 million Series A led by Ridge Ventures. His current professional focus centers on expanding developer tools and API infrastructure to process millions of hours of virtual meeting data for enterprise software applications.
