Daniel Yanisse

Daniel Yanisse is the co-founder and CEO of Checkr, an HR technology and B2B SaaS identity verification platform based in San Francisco, California. Before establishing the software company in 2014, he worked as a software engineer at several early-stage technology and e-commerce ventures. Yanisse guided Checkr through the Y Combinator Summer 2014 batch and subsequently scaled the business to a $4.6 billion valuation following a $250 million Series E funding round in September 2021. Under his executive leadership, the firm expanded its gig economy infrastructure, serving major clients like Uber, and acquired Inflection Risk Solutions in April 2022 to capture the small business market. Equipped with an engineering and computer science degree from ENSTA Paris, Yanisse currently focuses on navigating macroeconomic shifts while advancing API-driven background screening and Fair Chance hiring initiatives.
