Daniel Selans is the CTO and Co-founder of Streamdal, a Y Combinator-backed SaaS platform for data quality and pipeline infrastructure, and is currently based in Portland, Oregon. He brings approximately 20 years of technical experience in distributed systems architecture, with a specific focus on building high-throughput environments and event-driven architectures. Prior to launching Streamdal in 2020, Selans held various software architecture and backend engineering roles at prominent technology companies including New Relic, DigitalOcean, InVision, and Community. His early career included managing infrastructure across multiple East Coast data centers before transitioning into specialized platform engineering and data integration. Selans has coded exclusively in the Go programming language since 2014 and led a 2023 workshop on modern distributed systems. His current focus remains on developing open-source developer tools for streaming data performance monitoring and DevOps operations.
