Daniel Nakhaee-Zadeh Gutierrez

Daniel Nakhaee-Zadeh Gutierrez is the Head of Operations at Adaptyv Biosystems, a Y Combinator-backed biotechnology startup company based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Prior to his current operational leadership role, he developed deep domain expertise across immunoengineering, synthetic biology, and computational biology through academic and research tenures at four globally recognized, top-tier academic institutions. His multidisciplinary scientific training spans rigorous research programs at Harvard University, the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and the University of Leeds. At Adaptyv Bio, which participated in the Winter 2022 Y Combinator startup accelerator batch, he oversees critical operational functions to scale the company's early-stage protein engineering platform. Today, Gutierrez focuses on leveraging his extensive scientific background to advance computational and synthetic biology applications that address complex global environmental and societal challenges.
