Daniel Li

Daniel Li is a Managing Director at Madrona Venture Group based in Seattle, Washington. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, he worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group and gained experience as a software engineer and machine learning research assistant. He studied computer science at the University of Pennsylvania and holds bachelor's degrees in finance and computer science from the University of Washington. Promoted to his current role in January 2023, he leads seed and early-stage investments across artificial intelligence, B2B software, and consumer technology. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for venture capital in 2022 and currently serves on the board of directors for startups including Runway and Rec Room. His current focus centers on identifying emerging developer tools and generative AI platforms within the Pacific Northwest.
